Finally face to face and in person again.
This phrase was heard many times by my colleagues Julia and Benedikt at OutDoor by ISPO and Texprocess. The international sports and outdoor industry met in mid-June in Munich, shortly afterwards industry players from the textiles and clothing sector came together in Frankfurt am Main to exhibit and discuss innovations and trends throughout the textile value chain.

It was “smaller” than the pre-corona years in terms of space, and exhibitor and visitor numbers, but there was a positively relaxed atmosphere: Both exhibitors and visitors were optimistic with regard to market developments.

Crisis as an opportunity and catalyst
Why crises are also powerful catalysts for textile innovation? How are digital prototyping and machine learning redefining design processes? And how are companies gaining decisive competitive advantages through new, eco-friendly technology?

Forward-looking with a clear focus on sustainability
A stronger focus on sustainability: How can we further exploit potential through the efficient use of resources?
A variety of products – starting with fibres from PET bottles, fair natural materials and textile products with QR codes for tracking of the entire production process – allowing visitors to holistically experience the mega trend of sustainability. The innovations on display also included linen combined with other natural fibres like hemp and wool, and bed linen made of cork-coated cotton.

At the same time, there is a growing desire for more transparency, both on the market and within companies. Our discussions showed an increased demand in the areas of expansion of digital sales and intelligent user-friendly tools to support hybrid working methods.

Themes that we actively experience and support at MobiMedia:
Our new planning tool eVolution by MobiMedia allows for more sustainability and exploitation of potential in in-season management and the Quintet24 platform, B2B and 3-D Showroom, supports active digital sales experiences and thus hybrid ways of working with customers, buyers and stakeholders.

These topics also came up in expert lectures and discussions. The forums were an opportunity to share ideas and pick up new trends and approaches. With its new developments, MobiMedia responded to audience questions and highlighted solutions:

Benedikt Hofmann, Product Manager Quintet24 at MobiMedia AG showed details and user examples for our information and ordering portal quintet24 based on the experiences of a purchasing association.

Cloud-based planning:
More flexibility and planning security in in-season management – this was the subject covered by Julia Farley, Product Manager eVolution at MobiMedia AG, in her workshop on the intelligent possibilities of our new planning tools.

Optimistic result
“It is precisely because the textile world is currently changing so rapidly that there is an immense need for investment in technology. Automation, sustainability and flexibility are just the most important keywords here,” sums up Julia Farley.
“Texprocess and Outdoor are important platforms for our MobiMedia team: in addition to a mix of our customers’ products and our new tools, we were able to discuss new trends of innovative processes and materials. We met many of our customers and made many valuable new contacts,” says Benedikt Hofmann. And with a twinkling of the eye, he adds:
If you weren’t able to make Munich or Frankfurt, we would be happy to provide our customers and interested parties with more information in a dedicated online video conference! Simply give us a quick call or send us an email!”
