Careers know no gender, only passion and talent.
With this in mind, we kicked off our Girls’ Day. A day designed to encourage girls to try new things, far removed from any stereotypical gender roles.
This week, we were delighted to welcome a group of curious female students. Franziska and Kerstin gave the girls a tour of the building and explained what our company does and the products we develop.

Curiosity meets innovation:Our Girls’ Day at MobiMedia
Everyone was particularly impressed by the QI Studio. In MobiMedia’s in-house showroom, the girls were able to experience our technology firsthand. Franziska also shared the history of our company, her personal journey, and the training opportunities we offer.

Hands-on technology: Programming with AI
Afterward, Christian took over and introduced the technology. He demonstrated how programming is done today in collaboration with artificial intelligence. The girls saw initial examples, including how to build a website with just a few prompts.

Then it was time to try it out: With handouts, tips, and plenty of support, the girls were able to program themselves. Working in pairs, participants created innovative projects, such as a homemade Justin Bieber quiz. The enthusiasm was huge!

 What’s behind Girls’ Day?
Girls’ Day is a nationwide event for girls from grade 5 and up. Its goal is to provide insights into professions where women are still underrepresented – for example, in technology, IT, or skilled trades. Many girls tend to choose more traditional professions, often due to prejudice or a lack of role models. Girls’ Day aims to change that: breaking down stereotypes, sparking new interests, and providing hands-on experience.

A day full of opportunities and new perspectives
On this day, companies, government agencies, and universities open their doors. Girls are encouraged to participate, try things out, and talk to employees. The idea originated in the USA and has been firmly established in Germany since 2001. There’s also Boys’ Day for boys, which focuses on social and caregiving professions.
Our conclusion: Girls’ Day is a fantastic opportunity to discover new things and encourage girls to explore unconventional paths! And for us at MobiMedia, it’s a great opportunity to support young talent and open up new perspectives!
